Objective

At the end of the given period the students should have been able to:

a.      define essay writing;

b.      inculcate the importance of expressing oneself through essay; and

c.       write their own essay.

II- Subject Matter
Topic- Essay Writing
Reference- Journeying through Literature
Materials- Power Point Presentation
Value infused-  Be mindful of the words that we said and respect one another.

III-Procedure

A.     Preliminaries

1. Drill- The students will face his/her classmates and say something about her/him in the class. Give a short speech. 

 2. Review- The teacher will ask about the previous lesson and ask this question “What is the importance of direct & indirect in their daily communication?”

3. Motivation- They will going to have a twist  message relay in relation to our topic and answer this given question. ( What is essay in their perception?)

B. Presentation
1. Activity proper 

The teacher will use interactive discussion wherein the students can participate through giving their own ideas. The teacher will present the topic which is all about Essay writing.

2. Analysis

The teacher will ask this following questions: What does writing plays in our life? How can we completely express our thoughts logically ? Why do we need to know the exact purpose of writing.

3. Abstraction

In order to persuade, inform, explain and describe one thing  we can be able to express it through free writing which an essay writing belongs. Essay writing is generally a short piece which entails the point of view of the author.

4. Application

 From a video clip that the teacher will present the group must collaborate with their thoughts and the chosen group participant will explain and give insights about the importance of essay writing as human and how can affect it in our life.

IV- Evaluation

The student will write an essay about what they've understood from this quotation "Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless."

V- Assignment

Read and research about Michel de Montaigne and hiscontribution in essay writing and write it in their blog account.
