World changes, people change and also the education program changes! We are now engaging in the world of technology, wherein the area of education is greatly affected also. Learners which belong to generation Z are also different and what shall we do now as a teacher?
We can’t deny the fact that truly an educator plays a vital role when it comes to the teaching-learning process. Since we are now in a modern and the center of it is technology, as a teacher I must possess a competent skills and knowledgeable enough to entertain the needs of my students. I also do consider the fact that nowadays we are governed by technology so I must see to it that I am well equipped of the gadgets and learn what is the new trends so that I can relate to my students, guide them in the proper use of these things to avoid erroneous deeds.
Although these generation z students are technology-centered and somehow different on us , I am still the manager of the classroom. To prepare for this kind of students of course I must be aware of their diverse behavior. I must see to it that my knowledge is more than enough, I will give extra patience in dealing with them. Apply the use of technology wherein they will become an active learner rather than a passive one. I will provide a non-threatening atmosphere so that they can express their views openly. Be creative enough as a teacher for them not to be bored in class. Most especially I will be the disciplinarian, I will provide rules and regulations for the class and set objectives for us to be guided in our discussion.
No matter what a teacher would always be teacher. Teachers are one of the foundations of what will be the future so I must be competent teacher for this generation z students.
